Possible Extension Involvement Using Above Materials

  • Host a family event and invite local government officials or first responders to:
    • Demonstrate how to make an emergency supply kit
    • Provide considerations for your Family Emergency Plan
    • Present the community's emergency preparedness plan
  • Organize preparedness activities at existing community events such as fairs, sporting events, parades, etc.
  • Plan an event for older and disabled citizens at a senior center, nursing home, or rehab facility
  • Plan an event for pet owners teaching them how to prepare
